Accelerated Learning Programs has so far been a success in the US with many satisfied clients and candidates. Based on the lessons learned from our US colleagues and workshops with some of the best teachers in Sweden we’ve created a custom made curriculum tailored for the Swedish IT-industry. The education is conducted in boot camp style during three intense months. The participants are carefully chosen in a rigorous recruiting process, making sure they have the right abilities and motivation to go through with this incredibly intense education. During three months the participants learn object orientation, C#, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL and UX. Besides the technical competence they also learn soft skills as project methods, presentation skills and agile methodologies.
After the program the participants have at least 500 hours of actual coding experience and are ready to take on the role as junior IT-consultants. Our appreciated ”try and hire” model gives our customers the opportunity to source future stars while maintaining full flexibility.
So far we have focused our programs on IT and software development in particular. We do however firmly believe that the concept would be equally effective within other areas.

Motivation is more important than previous experience when we decide who to accept into our programs. We are looking for candidates that are ambitious and has the ability to process large amounts of information in just 12 weeks. To assess this we kick off the application process with cognitive tests and interviews.

At Academy we are positive that efficient learning requires interaction and co-operation with others. You will learn faster by working with practical tasks, but also by constantly analyzing and reflecting on what your learn, and put it in context.
During the education period we are mutually responsible for maximizing your development in preparation for your new consultant role. For example, our Program Managers will coach you in 1-to-1 sessions, make sure to provide you with interview coaching and help you build your consultant CV.

After graduating you are employed full-time as a consultant with Academic Work. Regardless of which role you start in, your new career has only just started. Our consultants often have unique cross-functional expertise and experience that can lead to even more exciting roles in the future.
Academic Work has clients in all verticals, extending between the smallest businesses to huge service and consultancy companies. Today, Academy has consultants at more than 350 clients, and the number is constantly increasing.
After a year as a consultant with the same assignment, the client has the option to recruit you over to them.
Most of our consultants that graduate from IT programs start working in programming assignments, but as an IT-consultant, you can also work as a BI-specialist, technical project manager, web developer etc.

Academic Work har kunder representerade i samtliga branscher och sträcker sig från allt från små startups till produkt/tjänstebolag till stora konsultbolag. I dagsläget har Academy ca 150+ inhyrande kunder och kundstocken växer stadigt. Under första året jobbar du antingen som konsult hos ett och samma företag alternativt på olika konsultuppdrag, det har du till viss utsträckning möjlighet att påverka själv. Efter ca 12 månader har inhyrande företag möjlighet att överrekrytera konsulter från Academy kostnadsfritt och det sker i de flesta av fallen, då är även utbildningsskulden avskriven. Alternativt jobbar du på flera olika konsultuppdrag och då är utbildningsskulden istället avskriven efter ca 24 månader.
